Se você quer chegar em sites nos Estados Unidos use o <a href="http://www.megapath.com/speedtestplus">http://www.megapath.com/speedtestplus</a> Teste em Nova Iorque, porque os outros lugares ficam "longe" demais.</div><div><br></div><div>Ping não se melhora com configuração. Ping é uma ferramenta para, principalmente, saber se um destino (um IP) está "vivo", respondendo aos seus pings (alguns destinos não respondem a ping, ainda que estejam no ar). A velocidade do ping não é, necessariamente, uma medida da qualidade da sua conexão. Apenas uma vaga referência.</div><div><br></div><div>A feramenta mtr (tem que ser compilada para usar em Mac) faz um traceroute (que usa ping) contínuo, e mostra melhor o estado do caminho entre você e o destino.</div><div><br></div><div><div>Veja um exemplo, daqui de casa (Oi Velox) para a <a href="http://www.apple.com">www.apple.com</a> (que pelo jeito é servido por um front end da akamai no Brasil.
