<p>Depois de um bom tempo em estágio beta, a Apple finalmente liberou a atualização para o 10.9.2 para o OS X Mavericks. A atualização é recomendada para todos, porque traz uma importante correção de segurança para o bug que permitia interceptar conexões seguras com protocolo SSL/TLS.</p>

<p>Além da correção de segurança, um novo recurso surge no OS X 10.9.2: o FaceTime de Áudio. O serviço já estava disponível anteriormente para usuários do iOS 7, mas somente agora chegou aos Macs. Dessa forma, é possível conversar do Mac com outros iDevices de graça, através de conexão com a internet.</p>
<p>Outros recursos foram adicionados, como a possibilidade de colocar ligações FaceTime (seja de áudio ou vídeo) em espera, bem como adicionar determinados remetentes a uma lista de bloqueio, impedindo que novas mensagens do iMessage te incomodem. O Mail também recebeu melhorias: houveram melhorias na <em>badge</em> de mensagens não lidas.</p>
<p>Para atualizar, basta ter o Mavericks instalado e abrir a aba de atualizações na Mac App Store. O tamanho da atualização varia de acordo com cada modelo de Mac: no meu, a atualização foi de 769 MB, mas outras pessoas acusaram de que a atualização foi de 406 MB. A atualização exige que você reinicie o computador. O instalador do OS X Mavericks completo também já está disponível na <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/br/app/os-x-mavericks/id675248567?l=en&mt=12">Mac App Store</a>, com 5,3 GB de tamanho.</p>
